Mark Farner (vocals, guitar) and Don Brewer (drums), former members of the local confederate, Terry Knight & the Pack, recruited Mel Schacher (bass) from ? & the Mysterians. Terry Knight presently became their manager & known as a band when a Grand Trunk Western Railroad, a famed railway line within Michigan. When a loose performance at the 1969 Atlanta Pop Festival, the band was signed by Capitol Records. Within 1970 it experienced sold supplementary albums than any more Our contries b& and experienced get the major concert attraction. Terry Knight (Richard Terrance Knapp) was murdered in Killeen, Texas on November 1, 2004. He was 61.
